Rivalry Profile Trading Part 2

TIMESTAMPS

00:01 – INTRO

00:35 – UTILITY

Time is the market’s regulator.

Market Profiles are reflected through TPO’s (Time, Price and Opportunities) by half-hour auctions.

As the day progresses, the market will form “day types” through range extension, tails, etc.

The Market Profile’s purpose is to see the “bigger picture” on who is in control of the day’s market.

The structure reveals more and more as the day nears completion.

The first hour of the market open during the NY session is called the “initial balance”.

03:11 – IMPLEMENTATION

A session is from 0930 - 1000 AM (EST).

B session is from 1000 - 1030 AM (EST).

The High or Low of B session is the initial balance H/L.

The sessions are split into 30-minute time frames by letters.

The values are A, B, C, D, E, etc.

36:28 – TIPS & TRICKS

★ It is strongly recommended to analyze live price action in correspondence with the Market Profile so you can add it to your list of confluence for ongoing trading plans.

★ Time, in itself, is NOT a complete method. Profile trading, in its most complete form, combines Volume with Time as a powerful tool.

★ However, traditionally, larger institutions trade with only TPO.
